About Us

Chef Andre Griffin Jr (known as Chef Dre Yamz via social media) was born and raised in North Philadelphia. Growing up, if Chef Andre wasn’t outside playing basketball, he would be in the kitchen. He loved to watch his mother and grandmother prepare southern-style meals and would be asking questions along the way.

While attending Penn State University, Chef Dre started his culinary career while obtaining a B.S degree in Hospitality Management. He was a banquet/line cook at the school's four-diamond rated hotel - The Nittany Inn until graduating. There, he learned the importance of service. During his time at Penn State, he completed a semester-long food and beverage internship with Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas, Nevada. That's where his curiosity of discovering new food items and learning new recipes grew into a passion. For summer break, he also worked for City Cruises as a cook on both fleets - Spirit of Philadelphia & Freedom Elite charter cruises.

Upon graduating, he worked at a few companies as a Food & Beverage Manager. He later decided to go back to the kitchen and cooked at R2L as a line cook. He also worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as a dietary cook.

After working in the industry for quite some time, he decided to quit the industry based on numerous reasons to pursue his dream of becoming a chef and a business owner. At first, he started selling gourmet meals out of his apartment, to meal prepping for friends and family. That later evolved into Chef Dre cooking privately for couples in the comfort of their homes.

Just like that, Enchanté Hospitality was created. He created his company for those who are seeking more of an experience than just going out to eat at a fancy restaurant. Chef Dre is a traveling personal chef that caters to everyone. He has cooked for entertainers, athletes, doctors, lawyers, and everyday people.
